Just remember, when it comes to Beano, the guitar knobs are your best friends.

If I had to choose one amp and one pedal, it would be a Tweed Deluxe and Beano.

Gday mate, unfortunately you where given pretty bad info there. My Victoria is based off a Tweed Vibrolux, it actually has pretty good head room and doesnt fart out in the bass. As has been mentioned here, Tweed Deluxe’s tend to get pretty ratty at higher volumes, especially with a vintage style Alnico speaker. One of the reasons I bypassed the Deluxe. They all have that Tweed flavour, but the circuits and tubes are different enough on various models that it’s really not wise to play only one and say “that’s the Definitive Tweed sound”.
Speaker also plays a big part. Both my tweeds have got Eminence ceramic speakers in them. Tighter bass. ;)

    Cheers, Otto.

I recently got my Beano. I have a Speed Shop Tweed Deluxe, which I LOVE. I have not yet tried that pedal with that amp. I need to do that ASAP!

Its a shame that guy gave you a bum steer. I hope you get a chance to play through a good tweed someday. It may not be your cup of tea but I’m sure you would enjoy the experience. A Harvard might be more up your alley

Yeah one would think I would like them as they apparently inspired Marshall. If I find another I'll give it a shot. I will say that for leads higher up the neck it was great.

Treble boosters never go out of style. Best drive pedal ever created.

The Beano Boost is on my must have pedal list. I currently have a Diamond Marquee Ge TB which I love and was running it into my JCM 800 2204 half stack this weekend, I almost had to change my underwear, lol! Man, what a sound, I really need to get a Beano Boost in my collection ASAP.

Huge fan of the Beano here. Total game changer. My first introduction to a Treble Booster and probably still the best!

Beanos are phenomenal. I haven’t been without one for many years now.

I recently ordered a Sunlion with the Mullard OC72 on the Beano side (currently and option on AM’s online store). This video definitely gets me excited to get it and try it.... never owned a treble booster of any kind before.

The 2nd 'Iron Man' tone (stock mode) at the 8:00 mark is one of my favourite tones I've ever recorded! :)

My Sunlion has the Mullard Beano side too. Sounds great. You’re going to love it if you run your amp with some breakup. If not, it’ll take some tweaking or stacking with an OD.

Well, I have a Maz 18 I run just on the edge of breakup. But, it really takes fuzz well including the Sunface NKT red dot I already own, so I figured a Beano would work well too. We shall see!!

Well, you see, "Tweed" is not really one era with Fender but probably three or more, depending, from Fender's rather stumbling attempts at amplification to what became the brown era. Remember they started out with the revision letter "A" right up to "F", prior to the "G" of the brown. So the Tweed era is really the main evolutionary phase of Fender's.

Sweet! Good to hear. I figured that was probably the case. Looking forward to the Mullard Beano!
