You were supposed to send spit ?
No wonder I never heard back.
I've always wanted to do that but I'm guessing it would be...

I don't see any way this data doesn't get used for nefarious purposes at some point, whether hacked, sold or forcefully acquired by government/law enforcement.
Isn't that the way they've nabbed some cold case killers recently, by comparing DNA evidence to their data base?
A lot of folks who have Irish and Scottish ancestry also show a small amount Swedish for the same reason ginger hair is fairly common...vikings.
Im waiting on my results.... Im sure the FBI will be at my door soon.. you know because the universe revolves around me
The ginger hair, from what I understand, comes from the original tribes in Scotland, the Picts. Not much seems to be known about them.
Picts or it didn't happen.
Kraut on a cracker with an olive on top.
the same thing with mine, my wife had a nice plethora of the result, Scandinavian, French, English, Scottish, etc, and im sitting here with 100% Chinese test result.

I'm in this camp.
I was more interested in my family tree. Managed to work back pretty far in my family history (often to the 15th century). Punctured some longstanding family myths. Learned the origin of my last name. Also discovered that a great many of my ancestors on both sides of my family had already settled in what would become the US by the 1600s.
I don't want to know who I am, I might have been bashing them a few times and then I'd feel really dumb.
No surprises for me-Ireland, Scotland, England, and northern Europe. Part Jewish.
It's not much but it's a start. Congratulations!!
