Just finished watching a Lynyrd Skynyrd show on TV, and that Medlocke feller sure acted pissed off the whole show. It reminded me of how he *always* seems pissed off to me. Pointing at the audience, glaring, the whole nine yards. Don't get me wrong, he's a fine guitar player, but the whole thing kind of surprises me every time.

Anyway, who's on your list of angry guitarists? [IMG]

btw, some quick thoughts about that show (Live at Freedom Hall):

    1. Does Billy Powell feel on his own on his white piano, with all those fine guitar slingers around grabbing all the attention?
    2. Should the band still be named that, considering that only Powell and Rossington are left of the original line up?
    3. Rossington finally cut his damn foolish hair...
    4. ... and played a Les Paul that gave me GAS for a Les Paul for the first time in a long time.
    5. Van Zant basically makes the exact same 2 gestures all flippin' night long. The guy needs some new moves. His pipes sure are fine, though. Damn, I'd like to have a voice like that.
    6. I have no idea who the guitar player on a strat was during that show, but he's a damn fine player as well.
    7. They played Peavey amps. A lot of them [IMG]

I've never noticed about Medlocke, but you're right. Warren Haynes always looks pretty pissed when he's up on stage.

GWAR. Though in interviews they seem very nice and down to earth. :)

Funny as heck - he kicked the guy right out of the picture frame.
He was also getting a killer sound out of his Les Paul

I call it the Biker Sneer.

They are proving to everyone that they are really, like, bad ass and stuff and don't mess with me and my leathers.

hi man were are the days that people realy enjoyed playing, JImi (Hendrix) had a smile on the most of the times (could be high do :).
When I look at DVD's from the man, he enjoyed playing so much and he tries to get the most of the performance. You should be in music bussines because you like it, okay its a way of living but its a art to.
Rembrand died broke and many great minds never ever made the money the deserved, but well its the year 2100 so.

He's mostly happy and smiling on stage nowadays. Looks like he really enjoys being there.

That is exactly what Warren has. Most of those southern rock/blues guys have got that going.
