1. The Gear Page is run by musicians for musicians. We listen, we learn and if we misstep we are not afraid to do the right thing. We proposed some changes to the Emporiums. Based on feedback from members, we have decided to not go ahead with those changes. However, it has also highlighted that we need some community input into what is working and what is not working for members here. Primarily focused on the Emporiums, we'd like input on your thoughts about TGP and how things work in the Emporiums for you and how you'd improve them. The discussion thread on the is here!

    Hi all,

I've got a DRRI that I've been slowly modding -mercury trannies, NOS tubes...

I wanted to see if people have recommendations for a good speaker upgrade for these amps? I'm not totally dissatisfied with the jensen in there now, but it would be fun to try some other things. Ideas?

    Thanks!

I love the Eminence Cannabis Rex in that amp. Smooth top end and a really great balance overall.

I will summarise the TGP sentiment:

Either The CRex ,or Weber 12F150.

I like the Weber, havnt tried the Rex yet. I also got a little crazy and tried the Naylor SD50, and the Tone Tubby ceramic and like them both a little better than the Weber.

Thanks much, I found the other thread - and I'm leaning towards the Weber speaker now - affordable, and seems to be universally loved. But since it's so cheap to do I may have to try the CRex as well:)

What was it about the other two that beat out the weber?
