I picked this up at Peters workshop yesterday.

    Specs:
    One piece swamp-ash
    Michigan maple/maple neck ( quatersawn )
Finish is trans-black - very discrete - as I wanted it..very hard to capture on pix
    TV Jones Electroflux bridge pickup
    Fralin P-92 neck pickup
I have always been a sucker for the thinline-style pickguard, so I ordered it this way, which suits the electroflux really well I think..

Soundwise - I´ll have to get back with a in depth review, but so far I couldn´t be happier. The electroflux kicks some serious b...!:Spank

Nice axe! I bet it sounds great. I had that same pickup combo in my Koll Tornado and it sounded really good. The electroflux is a great sounding pickup.

The Electroflux looks very interesting. Do the bobbin and coil get more shallow on the end where they are wider? Cool concept. If I understand correctly, one end is a narrow bobbin with a deeper coil wind like a Strat or Tele pickup. The other end is wider, but more shallow, like a P90. Why didn't I think of that.

    Very cool. Great looking guitar!

I notice the 'cathedral' grain pattern on the back. :AOK

    Thanks guys,
I tried to descripe the Electroflux in an earlier thread, but I didn´t get the technical info correct. It´s singlecoil wind - and it´s not humcancelling as I described earlier.
It sounds like a cross between a tele and p-90, very fat for a bridge pickup and not harsh at all. I will get Rahbek to call TV jones for the correct tech info.
I have been lusting to hear the pickup for some time, after looking at some of the Kolls here in this forum, which I also think is awesome looking, and luckily it turned out great.
Rahbek was also quite impressed with it and I think he will build some more Electroflux-equipped guits in the future.

Very cool. If that Electroflux is designed the way I suspect, it's briliant. Some twang and clarity on the wound strings with more beef and no "ice pick" on the higher strings. Darn, I've been GAS free for months, but now I want to build a guitar around that pickup.

    Very nice guitar, too!

    Hi Peter,
Glad you liked it. Had my first rehearsal with the new guit this weekend, and it fully lived up to my expectations. Will definitely be in action on the next gig.
Strat is first coming when Rahbek gets his new workshop up and running - hopefully in the fall.
I do however have a Koll Super Glide Almighty incoming this week, if all goes well - more to come..
