Another "Is this a real PAF?" thread; Experts?

Came off a 69 strat my friend bought used ... the previous owner said it was a real PAF and it`s been on the guitar since the 80`s.
I don`t see real defined L tooling marks .. but the wire is double strand and not 3
Help?
oh ..... it comes from a tropical climate so the pitting is pretty advanced

The sticker looks like a Classic 57 sticker; definitely not vintage.

First of all, thanks for the responses guys. I'm the owner of guitar.
I was afraid it would be an early Classic 57; but besides an unusual high DC reading, it sounds (much) better than any Classic 57 I ever heard...Actually tone rivals (being two completely different beasts) an LP G0 I have, that sounds freakin' great !


Okay, I'm not getting wealthier this Christmas...but probably I'll try a swap with an Seth Lover in my SG...
