Swampthing and I have been plowing away on tracks for a new TV show and this one sort of really stuck with us as a fave, since it has some severe attitude. It's called "Get Off My Lawn".

The rhythm gtr is the LP neck set to the baritone alt tuning. The slide gtr is the LP bridge model in std tuning. Both JTV parts were using the Blackface Deluxe Normal channel into the 4x12 Blackback cab. A tad of tube screamer and maybe boost comp (on slide) in front of it. Both really simple patches and slightly different in gain on a POD HD bean. The bass went through POD Farm using an SVT model with a fuzz stomp.

    ha ha ha! Awesome.

Andy, yeah I did the slide in standard tuning. We were going so fast I can't recall if I used a variax model or the Tyler p'ups. I think I may have turned the variax modeling off after we cut the baritone rhythm track.

    Thanks guys!

Jason, I did notate in the track comment its the LP brdg since the JTV light was on. Just couldn't remember if it was back in std tuning. Yea we cut all that in just a couple of hours.

Sweet Andy! Did you save the patches? If so, I'd love to try them out especially the slide guitar.

    Cheers,

Sure do jayson! Pm me your email address and I'll send it. You'll be surprised how simple a patch bit is!

I didn't use a pick on either of the guitar tracks (baritone or slide) so if you do, it may not sound quite the same as what your hearing on this clip. Fingers roll the tone off a little and soften the attack a bit (to me anyway).

That's how I was planning on auditioning it ... with my fingers! Reminds me of Derek Trucks. Very nice playing!

    Cheers,

    Sweet.

D.T....pssssshhh...I'd be happy if I could pull off 1/2 the stuff he can! I swear he's from another planet.
