I love the names and mythology that Jeff assigns to each guitar he sculpts. It shows that there's definitely artistic choices in all the little elements of each one-off build he does.

While some of his elaborately carved guitars may scare off a traditionalist, this newest one has some very cool touches in it's elegant simplicity.

I told Jeff that the small ebony-inlayed-design on the back of the neck scarf reminds me of a girl with a celtic tattoo on the nape of her neck.

Jeff also isn't afraid to venture out into non-traditional american hardwoods.... and went with Sassafrass for the body (hence the name) and cherry for the neck.

I think I like this one even more.... " iO Longhorn "

It's almost the same shape, but with some amazing figure in the walnut top and maple neck.

The maple accent is also nice the way it runs from the neck around the guitar's edge.
