    BTW Merry Christmas all.
I was listening too some bad ass old Dave Edmunds and Rockpile at last nights festivities with a couple of relatives.
That cat can play and sing. Great band.
Heres a fitting vid of just Dave covering Run Run Rudolf quite nicely I might ad.

Trax On Wax 4 is still one of my all-time faves! 2 1/2 minute slices of cool rockin' stuff!

He did have health issues for a while a few years ago, heart problems, but he seems to be fine lately. He was out doing some shows this past year in Europe and the UK. There are Youtubes of a few of them but I can't find them right now.

BTW huge fan for years and years

Oh yeah, since the Love Sculpture days.

Last time I saw him was in the 1980s at a small club called the Bowery in OKC. It was not a planned gig, guess he just had a night off between gigs or something. He reduced the stage to a pile of ashes.

    Love Dave Edmonds.

Sure wish he would put out something new.

Listen to "Plugged In" and "Closer To The Flame" on a regular basis.

Never cared for "I Hear You Knockin' " or "Cruel To Be Kind" when I would hear them on the radio, so I was really upset/dismayed when my older sister informed me that she had gone and bought me a ticket for Rockpile ($8.50) at the Riviera Theater for the opening night of the one and only tour they did under that name in 1980. After the show, I immediately went to Waxx Traxx and bought Seconds of Pleasure, which turned into years of listening bliss.:phones Can't begin to express my gratitude to those guys for the entertainment/musical education they provided me and helping me to survive the otherwise dismal, mostly guitarless music of the 1980's. BTW, I am eternally grateful for having such a cool older sister.:aok

Here's a couple of vids from last New Year's Eve w/Jools Holland.

    Thanks for the vids!

I saw Rockpile sandwiched on a bill between Mink DeVille and EC and the Attractions in Cincinnnati. What a great show!

I listen to Dave quite a bit, I really liked that clip of Albert Lee, that was always one of my favorite tunes and I hadn't seen that studio clip before. Thanks for posting that. We used to do a pretty rockin' version of Crawling From the Wreckage back in the day, "Repeat When Necessary" has been a mainstay in the turntable/CD/MP3 rotation for years.
