I've been hearing about Keith Scott's Hiwatt (Pre-amp)/Vox AC-30 (Power Section) Hybrid Amp for years but I'd love to know more about it, anyone have any info or pictures?

    Sounds like an amazing idea!!

Maybe it's just the Hiwatt preamp and 4xEL84 cathode (and hot) biased power amp?

There are also other variations available - Google for "marwatt".

I think I first heard about in a Guitar Player interview years ago. I know he has one that's a combo with a single 12 and then there's a rackmount one. Here's is some more info, just a mention really.

    Catoogie,
I read the same interview. He wanted the preamp section of a Hiwatt, but not the spl's.
And if I'm not mistaken he used a 15' speaker.
