Any John Doe X-perts here?

I was recently reminded that Meet John Doe is one of my all time favorite albums. Are any of his other albums in the same vein/feel? I remember when the follow up Kissing So Hard came out that I was tremendously underwhelmed. Is his first solo record an anomaly, or is there more like it out there?

Thanks

His album releases have always been a little different stylistically (IMO). The Best of John Doe has some pretty good cuts, but like anybody with a deep catalog you might have to do some digging to find what you are after.

I think Meet John Doe is really strong record, I am going to see him in a month or so. Time to get that one in regular rotation. If I am not mistaken, Richard Lloyd plays on a few tracks.
