I know only the individual can make the decision to get help or healthy but something really bothers me about the people enabling her as long as they can make a buck. I guess you can say the same for the fans who continue to support her whether buying CDs or buying concert tickets.

    Yes, yes we did!
But it seems some just can't get enough Amy bashing :mob

I like both Frank and Back to Black albums.
Would like to see her straighten up a bit and make new music!

Love her as an artist, disgusted by her as a person.

She was on HDnet not too long ago...I'm sorry....but how some people get popular is beyond me. She must have one helluva marketing machine behind her.

That is the performance I saw. I actually felt bad watching the show. I hope she can get her life turned around but fear she is headed for a sad ending.

I have seen other performances of hers and she just does not appear to be comfortable on stage to me. Anyone else get that vibe from her? Could her problems, in part, be due to her having performance anxiety?

I think she could have been one of the all-time greats.

I mean like Sarah Vaughn and Nina Simone.

But it seems unlikely that that is going to happen anymore.

    Bummer.

    Post of the day.

Quick guys...search your photobucket accounts and find the most unflattering shots!

Not being a smart-ass, but IS there a flattering shot of her from the last year or so? I sure hope she gets well. I like her...but not in her current state. I'd love to see her get clean (for herself) and release a "You thought I was dead" comeback album. I like a happy ending (no pun intended ;)).

She wrote & sang 2 super albums. If she makes another I'll buy that too. For her own sake I hope she cleans up but its none of my business one way or the other. I'd have very thin music collection if all the junkies were taken out.

I saw her sing on a show celebrating the Strat when she was younger. She was at a healthy weight and was sporting a more modern, conventional look. She looked and sounded really good.

But I honestly don't get the hype. I guess its the retro-sound that people find appealing. But I'd rather listen to Pink or Christina Aguilera sing any day.

Boy, you guys are behind on the tabloids. :mob:rotflmao

Supposedly she's putting on some weight and is much healthier. Appearance-wise anyway. She might be getting it together. Sorry it's not a bash, just what i've been hearing about her.

Just came across her on Palladia . . . very easy to pass right on down the channels. Too skanky, whether healthy or not . . . and the music does nothing for me. But then, I don't like the Stones either. For the same reasons.

There . . . let's diss the Stones for awhile and give poor Amy time to get high. I mean what's a forum for if not to be critical.

I recently bought "Back to Black" and love it. Great voice. I hope she gets her life together.

I'm glad we all don't trash Hendrix, Brian Jones, Jim Morrison, etc..... for their substance abuse. Seems like when it's a girl, the bashing is even worse.
