Does anyone think these are kind of too dark for a Fender amp?

I kind of feel they have been voiced more towards Marshalls, and there they sound very balanced, warm, rich and full of harmonics. But with Fenders they seem to be a tad too dark (still not muddy at all)

I've had them in both a Gibson & Epi Les Paul.
I use the clean channel on an old US made HR Deville & don't find them dark at all.
They are pretty low output as far as buckers go & are very clear & articulate to me.

I had a set in a Dean Cadillac and they sounded good there. Mahogany/maple body, mahogany/rosewood neck. It's a good sounding pair in that type of guitar. I never thought about it in a Strat bridge position.

Too dark? I've heard more comments that they were too bright than too dark. I'll take slightly too bright any day over slightly too dark.

I've never had a bridge position Duncan Alnico II but I had one in the neck of a Les Paul for a few years and liked it just fine.

I also find the neck model to be bright, and a complementary pickup to the Pearly Gates bridge, which is also known to be bright.
