    That's to funny, man.

    I'm serious there.
I have what I think is an incredible setup...but my Marshall 1960A has 4 of those culprits in there.

I am going to have to save up and replace them with 4 G12H30's.

    I wonder though..................
Why doesn't Celestion just drop that speaker model?
Merely mentioning them seems to have the same effect as mentioning a disease.

    Peace,
    Mass

No love from me, I'm trying to get rid of my cab because my amp is too bright through the cab...

The weird thing is Celestion has probably sold more of the G12T-75 than any other speaker! BTW-4 G12H-30's are rated at 120 watts. If your cranking a 100 watt head your at risk of blowing them-just a heads up.

I think they sound great in a 4x12 with certain amps. I have also had good results with them in open back combos.

They sound great in Bogner and Voodoo cabs, and like poo in Marshall cabs. Just goes to show you the cab is as important as the speakers.

Apart from Bogner and Voodoo, I can't think of any other quality cabs that come with 75s. Most players who hate them have only heard them in the modern, POS Marshall cabs.

I like mine. I have two Ampeg 4x12's with 75's, they sound great. They are VERY broken in however (beat to death maybe?), 700 or so gigs on these. I use them with Marshall Jubilees and have used them a bit with my Roccaforte Custom 40.

I know of two regular gigging rock bands in my area (Seattle) where the lead guitarists use these speakers in 4x12s with their Marshall amps. Both of these guys have great overall tone.

I use them too. But in my 4x12s I've mixed (2) Eminence Private Jacks in an X pattern with the GT75s. I wasn't sure this would work but I've been very pleased with the results. It works great for rock anyway.

They work very well with Bogner Ecstasy in my opinion. I tested the amp once on the 1936 2X12 cabinet loaded with G12T75 and it was veery nice.

I'm a newbie Marshall guy and maybe it's the 50 watt 68 plexi I use with it but I really like my JCM 800 1960A cab with those speakers. The amp has enough breakup for me. I don't think I want more speaker breakup.

Like most speakers it depends on the amp & tone you are looking for. I hated them with a Superlead, JCM 800 and like them with my Carvin V3.

I didn't understand those spoeakers til I heard them X-Paterned in a Bogner Uber Cab. It's ansty crunch blends with the smooth raunch of V30s.

So where do they lack the most?
    The mids?
Do you guys think they are at least articulate speakers?
I can't imagine a speaker having much more of a bottom end punch than the G12T75.
Maybe I just need to mix them with another two speakers.
    Peace,

I was kidding. Just trying to see how deep your disdain for them runs. :D

Now that I think of it I know someone else that really likes these speakers. He runs them in a 4x12 and plays stoner type rock through them.
