Any problem with using a 5Y3 rectifier in a tweed Bassman clone?

Would using a 5Y3 rectifier to lower the voltages in a tweed Bassman clone cause any problems?

Doesn't provide enough current, 5U4 will give you voltage drop.

Doesn't provide enough current? I tried it for a few minutes and it worked. I just don't want to damage anything.

125mA max is pushing it for a 35watt amp imo

    5ar4 17v drop 250ma
    5u4 44-50v drop, 250ma
    5y3 60v drop, 120ma
The 5u4 needs 3 amps for the filament however, the others 2 amps.

    Maybe ask the builder/manufacturer
