If I recall, someone posted a review of a recent show in the Pub - said Ronnie was still takin' no prisoners.

Ronnie was and is my first real idol on guitar. In 74 my 10 yo mind was blown away with the album my uncle ,a local Rock guitarist, left among other albums for his aspiring nephew too hear.
All of a sudden I needed a Big Muff and Flanger too go with my Vibro Champ and
Sears and Roebuck MIJ Les Paul Custom copy.
I always loved Ronnies idea (and on a guitar) of a pickup that moved from neck to bridge and anywhere in between.
Wow.

I was never a montrose fan, and only liked one of the guys solo albums, but if he played near me and the price was right, I would consider going.
No doubt about it the guy is a monster guitarist, I would think watching him play would be fun even if you didn't like anything he has done.

I'd go. The man can definitely play a six string. That first Montrose record is still one of my fave rock albums of all time.
