I'm visiting with a friend today and he has a 1985-86 Kramer that's really nice. Neither he nor I are experts on Kramers, so I don't know what model it is. It has a single slanted hum, pointy headstock, recessed floyd, and the inlays look like little Kramer headstocks. The logo is on the 12th fret and the finish is a flip/flop irridescent-type finish. Any idea what model this might be and if it's worth anything? I know 80's metal guitars are collectable now. I'll try to get pics...

    Thanks,

    KHAN.

Is the top arched like this?

If so, maybe it's a "Stagemaster?"

Nice looking guitar! Actually my buddies is very similar, but his is a bolt-on and not an archtop. Any ideas on what it might be? I'll check that vintage Kramer link as well.

The Kramers I had in the 80's were Pacer models. Nice guitars for sure and very well built. I had a few Jacksons and Charvels too but the Kramers got played alot more.

Unfortunately, that's not mine. I just did a google search for kramer stagemaster, because I remembered these inlays on those guitars. That would be a killer guitar to own, though (the pic I posted.)

I think it's an American series. And so it could be worth anywhere from $500 to $1500.

    Ah, those were they days....

I had a green 1984 Floyd Rose Signature and a black 1987 Beretta.

Oh, and a Nikki Sixx wig!

OK- Here's a pic of my buddy's guitar...He says he bought it in 1987 from Veneman Music in Rockville, MD and it has an 'F' serial number. I played it and it's totally shred-worthy. Much like a Jackson/Charvel or similar...what would be a fair selling price? Any thoughts (somebody suggested $500-$1500, but that is such a big range).

That's a cool looking guitar that brings back memories. I can't wait for the 80s to come back----guitar-design wise.
