Peter playing rhythm guitar and Corin Tucker of Sleater-Kinney singing lead, as a massive Buck fan I had to check this out and I like it. What say you?

Scott McCaughey from Young Fresh Fellows (and REM) on bass and Kurt Bloch from The Fastbacks (and YFF) on guitar. Cool!

    Who’s the drummer?

Not bad at all... the vibe of the tunes remind me just a little of Bob Mould for some reason.

They've been out on tour. Album came out in August. Getting good reviews both ways. Peter and Corin are the writers. Peter relocated to Portland a while back, where she lives too.

This was great. Thanks to the OP. Buck was a huge influence on me (in my displaced younger days). Nice to know he is still at it (Ric 360 intact). Cheers.

    Love it!

But I’d rather have another Sleater-Kinney album - I thought their recent post-hiatus album was one of their strongest, and the accompanying tour was one of the best shows I’ve ever attended (incredible positive energy, on and off stage).

No but I liked his work with Robyn Hitchcock a while back.

He's playing with umpteen different bands, tours with regularly with Alejandro Escovedo, produces albums for folks ..he's all over the place.

I remember reading that a Sleeter-Kinney member had a new project, but I do not remember any mention of the Buck connection. Either Buck needs a better publicist or the current indie-heads I read do not think Buck is very important.

Rolling Stone, Salon and some other mainstream outlets have had pieces on Buck and the pairing. I shared a recent Salon feature on Buck in this forum, where he talks about writing with Corin Tucker, talking about how he's feeling good and refreshed since he quit drinking cold turkey (nothing stronger than espresso any more, and more LaCroix water than anything) and hopes to still be doing this at 70.

And here's one more clip from this set where they rock out a little more. Buck looks like he's having fun, he actually cracks a smile for half a moment. (IMO Linda Pitmon is a very good drummer. She also drums for another group that Mike Mills and Scott McCaughey and her husband Steve Wynn are in, and Buck plays with when he can, The Baseball Project, all the songs are about baseball. And with another Buck/McCaughey/Wynn group called Minus Five. Like I said, Buck and McCaughey too are all over the place playing.)

I dig it. Intro to second song sounds like Peter did, in fact, Go Back To Rockville. Classic REM sounding.
