you'll get a more helpful response if you specify what voltage and value caps you need.

Otherwise, try Mouser, Digi-Key for the largest selections. Hoffman or Weber may have something thats close enough...

At the risk of sounding like a novice(because I am), Im not sure how to read the voltage.
It says 500 dbv yellow 50 uf? Sorry But Im new at this electrical thing.

This is my project amp so whatever happens, happens.

Yeah,

That would be 50 uf at 500V. You must be looking at something
do you have a schematic? or are you taking something apart
and rebuilding it?

Oh and don't worry about not knowing enough. We were

Hey, thanks for the response. Yeah, Im reading the side of the cap. Its light blue in color. Still dont know if I should replace them. How do you know? What caps are the best?

It was built in 1987 and slighlty distorts(badly) when clean. Its really noisy as well. Almost more than it should be.

Antique Electronics should have them. I like the F&T caps myself. It sounds like it might be more than a filter cap problem.
