    Stringdog Armoured Gold cable?

Designed by Mr. Naylor who seems to be their consultant. Hey, I've liked a lot of his products over the last many years.

    Might be worth looking into.

I was just going to post the same thing -- I'm curious about these as well. The price is right but I'm not a cable snob so I'm interested in what those who know more about cables than I do have to say about the specs, etc.

The price is pretty nice..... much like anything I imagine it will vary from rig to rig as to what it works with best.

These cables were given very high marks in the recent Guitar Player cable shootout.

I don't know if they are any good but I thought this was funny.

Got mine in yesterday. Very thick casing - this cable is not going to kink or wrap around your ankle! Everything about it says "heavy duty." Sounds a lot better than the cable it replaced. I am definitely going to order more.

I was interested initially, but heard about "attenuated", "rounded", "smokey" top end. To me, that probably means higher capacitance and loss of the spanky top-end I try so desparately to preserve.

I'd certainly like to hear more from owners here.

Pictures of that cable were used prominently in the GP article, but their Top Picks referred to it as a "Reverend" cable. I checked both the article and the Reverend site and couldn't find that cable. I thought it was odd that they included it in the Top Picks and not in the accompanying table of cables. I'll have to doublecheck table for the correct name.

    From their homepage:

"Stringdog products are conceived by award-winning designer Joe Naylor (of Reverend Musical Instruments and Naylor Engineering fame) and tested on stage by working pros."

    From their FAQ page:

"Is StringDog part of Reverend Musical Instruments?
No, StringDog LLC is a separate company located in the same industrial complex as Reverend. Reverend president Joe Naylor has been contracted by StringDog to design products."

I think it was just a misprint on the part of GP.

There's no way they can be any good, they're not over $100 each. :D

PS. I think they look great, and am going to order some. :AOK

Stringdog is mentioned/linked on the Reverend page in the April newsletter.

Well, if it doesn't kink, that's half the battle, at least for me...

Well, as of now it seems I've retired the "ethernet blue" mogami cables I ripped from my studio to use with my rig. People didn't know whether to clap or ask me to install their cable modem.
Curious to see how these sound.
