    Anyone build their own Gretsch-o-caster?

I'm looking for ideas for a next homemade build... thinking about some Filtertrons in a semi-hollow tele...

Anyone do anything like this? I'd LOVE to see some pics.

I have no idea where to find the pic, there was guy on the Gretschpages a few years ago that made a Tele with a knotty pine top like the old Gretsch Roundup. I think it had a Bigsby and Filtertrons, too. Oh...and it was orange, of course.

Correction, it had P90s. Here it is:

Here's one the Fender CS did. A true mix of the two.

Epi ES-295 fitted with Filtertrons and wired to Gretsch's tone switch schematic...two pickup volumes, master vol, tone switch, pickup switch. Next comes a bar bridge :)

There's a clip on youtube of TV Jones hizzelf playing a Tele loaded with two TV Classic filtertrons. Just search for "TV Jones."

Built this one a few years ago and it's been my fav tele ever since. Has a rosewood board these days but still looks pretty much the same. TV Jones is the way to go.

This was (it doesn't exist anymore) a total mutt. Beat to **** (before I flaked it) Fender Elite Strat body, shredder thin old USA Kramer neck, Floyd, and Filtertrons. Sounded pretty damn cool.

Not homemade, but I've been talking to Rick Kelly about doing a blackguard Tele with a Nocaster pickup in the bridge and two vintage DeArmond 2K units that have been kicking around the parts bin for far too long...

I had a ’67 Tele (it's a long, sad story) that I'd retrofitted with a Filtertron in the middle position...it sounded fantastic.

I have a '58 Duo Jet with DeArmonds in it and I can see how suited those would be for a Tele. I find those pups can go from Tele twang to P90 growl.

And jazzy warmth, too. I've been primarily a Strat player since I was 17, which was some time ago, so I want the versatility of 5-way switching with the bite of the Nocaster pickup and the soul of the DeArmonds.

I also used to own a ’57 6120 with those pickups that sounded spectacular...why did I ever sell it? (Oh, yeah, I needed a car...a stupid reason if I ever heard one.)

This one is semi-hollow with a mahogany back. TV Classic in the bridge, Magnatron in the neck. I made the body, but the neck is a Warmoth maple/ebony vintage/modern '58 round back. It's a cool axe.

This is an Epi Dot Studio with two Magnatrons.
