Glad you did it? Or, regret it?
I didn't but a friend of mine put one on his black beauty and loved it. Might be worth considering something like a Les Trem or equivalent to see if it's really what you want before you start drilling holes. I've never used one myself so no endorsement here, but they've been around awhile and I'm sure there are other versions of something similar. You can see them here and I think Elderly sells them as well;

The Les Trem seems like it would work really nicely. But for style points, the bigsby was the only way to go for me.
Bigsby's are cool. I've got a Hot Rod Setzer - it's the guitar I play the most. The feel is really cool. I've never had any tuning issues with it either which was surprising. No dive bombing though
