To all of you Stiletto Ace and Deuce II users out there: I'm looking to match the sound of a JCM800. Thought about selling the Stiletto to get an old JCM800, but I think the clean channel on the Stiletto is just too good. Anybody getting that sound out of their Ace or Deuce II?

Here's an example of the sound I'm going for, but I may be too moronic to dial it in...

Listen to the overdriven/distorted tones in "The Terminal" and "Genesis"

Stilletos in no way sound like any Marshall, much less a JCM800. The false advertising makes me laugh.

I was unaware of any ad that states it sounds like a "JCM800" or any other "Marshall" ?

The crunch channel, treble and presence set very low. 8/10 o'clock maybe. .... the tubes in the amp well have a huge impact on the sound. V1 well effect the sound more than anything. The Stiletto has some similarity's to Marshall sounds .... but that is about it.

There are a lot of variables that make up a sound ..... guitar~speaker and everything between. That and all the variations of recording. Your ear should get you there a lot faster than post. But it does not hurt to ask.

The link was taking a long time to load ..... over 5 minutes and not there, so I did not hear it.

Hey Stephen, thanks a lot for your post. I kept thinking (since I'm nowhere near my amp) that if I use channel 2 in tite gain mode, with the gain knob set low and the bass knob up. But I figured somebody had been getting a sound similar to the tunes from the link out of their Stiletto.
