    of a 72 Thinline in the burst finish, maple neck, and a BLACK pickguard?

    trying to decide if I want to change out the pearl white.

    uh... there's a good reason why you don't find pics
    A) Fender rarely used black on thinlines
    B) Fender knew it would look like crap w/ a sunburst

    i don't think it looks half bad with the black!!! any other thoughts?

    I don't have a pic but I did it to my sunburst 72 thinline and it looks great. I also changed the volume and tone knobs to those black and silver knobs you see on the custom teles.
