Anyone have a LP with a Gibson 498 in the neck?

I know they're usually the pickup in the bridge, but I'm wondering how being an Alnico V they might sound pretty good in the neck too. I'm looking at getting an Epiphone Tommy Thayer LP, and this guitar comes with a pair of the 498's in it, kinda like the idea. If anyone has used one, I'd like your opinions on it. Thanks.

I liked the 498 in the bridge of my SG so much I bought another 498 and put it in the neck of a different guitar. It only works well in the bridge position.

It has too much output and too much lows, so when mounted at the neck, it totally overwhelmed the bridge pickup. I took it out of that guitar and installed it at the bridge of another, and it sounds great there.
