So i picked up a Smart People Factory I5 delay in the emporium - sounded great - warm sounds - BUT it's developed a problem where intermittently the repeats change pitch on me - i'm not talking slight warble or tape flutter simulation the repeats bear no resemblance to the dry signal - gremlins in the pedal
any ideas of what might be causing?

I have an SPF I-5. I've never had this problem. At our band's rehearsal studio where the UV lighting gets in the way in a big way, I've had distorted repeats. Pretty sure it's a ground issue between my long 1-Spot chain of pedals and those damn lights.

I should ask though - b/c when mine acted up this worked - does adjusting the warm knob help in any way? IIRC, my issues only occurred when the warm was set all the way off (or maybe on; I can't remember which).

Any other I-5 players?

The problem is intermittent - when i adjust the "time" knob it tends to correct itself but not always - last night nothing i did fixed it - just crazy repeats with pitch way off. Frustrating because i love the sound of repeats...if I was in the US i'd just send it to SPF...

You might but I'm pretty sure (after dozens of emails) they don't exist any more. I heard they offered great service too, back in the day. Not sure why, but I've never been able to get a response to an email and I've needed'em on more than one occasion.

SPF? If you're out there ... please advise.
