I'm a pretty big fan of Guster. I think I have most of their albums in some form or another. I've seen them a few times live. Once at Purdue(They commented on the odd Purdue loyalty to them... I think it was outside of their main zone...) and another time on the White River State Park lawn here in Indy with Ben Folds and I think OAR. I remember everyone being blown away by the drummer using just his hands but I loved the harmonies and the way they all weaved around their instrumentation. I loved to see them swap bass and guitar duties too. Really awesome band... I'd say underrated but I think rating is overrated in today's musical weirdness age...

    I dig Guster.

Keep It Together is a good album.

Yeah, I dig them. I'm a big fan of the way they weave all kinds of guitar filigree through their stuff. Lots of great tones. I wonder how that guy's vocals project over a full band in a live setting.

I was just thinking the other day how you dont hear much about them any more. In fact,
it made me check Wiki just to see if they were still together.

I have a live DVD of them that I love, and I used to really like the song "Amsterdam".

Absolutely superb band. To me, they have the ideal life you'd want if chasing being in a band as a lifelong vocation.

-- Comfortably living off the music they've made

-- Not (at least, no longer) strapped down by a label

-- Healthy tour schedule but never too grueling

-- Can walk into a grocery store and almost never get bothered

-- Sustained two decades in the business as consistently as you could ever hope for

I checked them out after seeing their rig rundown on premier guitar, I like the song satellite.
