I use a Pod X3 to mess around when I don't want to be loud and I've gotten some pretty decent tones out of it. Contrary to what you would believe by my user name, I don't play metal anymore so all of my tones are geared towards my Partscaster, Les Paul Special, or my Eastwood H44 (minihums).

Since a lot of people on here don't play much metal, I thought this might be a good place to see if anyone has any good tones to trade. I wish we could post direct links to download the tones, but since we can't, tell us about your tone and if anyone is interested, I guess we could just email them back and forth or tell us how to access any that we've uploaded to the Line 6 tone trading site.

I have a nice sound atm, a high gain plexi type with a mic set at 45 degrees, an inch away from the center of the cone... oh and it's in a church aparently!

    aint technology great :D

But after I have slept it will be a cranked Cornford as I'm alone this sunday ;P

I practice at home through an XT almost exclusively. Almost a no-brainer!

I just started using my POD 2.0 through a Spider, the one with the 8-inch speaker, 15 watts. I go out of the POD left/Mono and into the Spider with the CD/MP3 input. It sounds great!

Has anyone come up with any good Fender style blues tones and clean they want to trade? I have a few of my own. PM me with your emails and I'll send you mine.

I use a 1st Gen POD for silent practice and demo purposes. I just tweak the stock settings and use those. Mostly either the Marshall or Mesa models.

I use mine practicing almost everyday. It's just too convenient. I actually mainly use the line6 clean model and then flavor to taste.
