I know about the amp but don't know if or when I've actually heard one.

I'll accept any links to live performances, but since I play Les Pauls, that's what I'm most interested in hearing.

I know SRV used one when he was touring In Step. Here he is on Austin City Limits, hard to tell what is Marshall Major though with his multiamp setup.

+1 on any "Ziggy" era David Bowie. (From the albums The Man Who Sold the World to Aladdin Sane) Any live stuff from that era should cover it.

I think Mick Ronson's rig was: Late 60's LP, Tone Bender Fuzz, Crybaby Wah, Marshall Major half stack.
