anyone live near a famous musician? walk into one while doing your normal daily life stuff?

i havent, but i know les paul lives about 20 mins away from me. about 30 mins away is george bensons house (although i think he lives in a different house). i know not too far away a lot of rappers have houses in alpine, englewood, and saddle river nj areas. drove past puff daddy's house once. never seen any musicians out and about though.

When I was a kid growing up in Michigan, Bob Seager lived just a couple miles from us... In such a rural area that as enough to be called neighbors. Didn't really see him around hardly at all, but there were a couple times we drove past his house and saw his clothes scattered around the front gate... trouble with the little woman apparently!

I live within five miles of Rock and Roll Hall of Famers Fats Domino and Allen Toussaint.

I actually see Toussaint a good bit of the time, and am always like a little school-girl every time I do.

See Dr. John occasionally as well.

Yep. A lot of Hip Hop producers/artists and a few boxers live or have houses and studios around the Hampton Roads area.

I used to live less than 10 minutes from Garth Brooks. His kids went to school a mile from my house. I'd see him all the time (and Trisha occasionally) doing things like getting coffee at the Quik Trip or shopping at Wal Mart. Just a regular dude.

One played with me from my town a few weeks ago...Phil Jones, drummer of Tom Petty's band fame. Also....David Lindley, Jackson Browne, Ben Harper,as far as I know. Snoop Dogg did too, but he quickly wore out his welcome....a good thing.

Santana can be seen grocery shopping about 45 minutes from where I live in California.

Alexander Dumble isn't too far away either.

Wouldn't really care to meet either though, if I ever could:dunno

Bob Seger lived 2 roads south of me for several years. I used to see him at the grocery & on election day at our polling station. Always good for a smile & handshake.

Kid Rock is about 7 miles from my place (Ortonville)

When I was much, much younger Joe Walsh bought a house on my friends road. I got up the nerve one day to go to the house to see if I could meet him. He wasn't home but his wife at the time who was beautiful was there. I slobbered on myself, mumbled something and left.

Rick Ocasek from the Cars lived about 5 miles from me back in NY. I damn near walked right into him as I was walking out of CVS pharmacy one night
