Anyone pairing the Cornish SS-3 with Carr Rambler?

i find they work best with a hard amp like a twin reverb. A soft amp like a princeton or many british amps will have too much compression added to the SS3 compression. i think the Rambler is deluxe based so should be ok, they are not too compressed.

Thanks Mike that's a really interesting point. I watched someone last week using an SS-2 through what looked like a Marshall Bluesbreaker style amp...unfortunately it sounded mushy but I reckon the SS3's low cut control would've helped some.

Looking forward to introducing the SS-3 to the lineup on my board...which is currently 50% made in Connecticut by a top geezer who knows how to do pedals right :aok
