I have a Barb E.Q. and I really like what it does - especially with a good steak - Ha!

I was on the fence between it and a Woodrow and now the Les Lius Dual shows up and I'm really cursious how the Barb E.Q. compares to the Les Lius and was curious if any of you have both of them or have played them both?

    Any info is appreciated!

Had the Barb EQ, have the Les Lius, apples and oranges!

The Barb EQ is strictly an eq pedal, no overdrive or a hint of grit to be heard,
the Les Lius on the other hand is an OD/fuzz pedal all the way.

Get them both I say, Les Lius is getting me the Led Zep tones I was after :)

what mode are you using the Les Lius in for Zep tones? I'm also loving the Les Lius but more for the tweed tones it has to offer in 5e3 mode. So touch responsive. Really is a beautifully voiced pedal. Sounds best with my Tele:phones

I rec'd a BBQ pedal today and wondered where you were using it in your signal chain. Seemed to me that it should go near the front so I did it this way:

    AM Bi-Comp>
    BBQ>
    Burn Unit>
    Rat>
    AM Chorus>
    Delay>
    Amp

Is this a good place to put it?

    Tone Guy,

I've actually got mine last in front of the amp. Here's my signal chain:

    Compressor (Boss CS2)
    Vibe (Sweetsound Mojo Vibe)
    Wah (Dunlop Mr. Crybaby)
Fuzzes (Monsterpiece 2 Headed PNP->NPN, Devi Ever Soda Meiser)
    Graphic EQ (Boss GE7)
Dirt (Devi Ever Torn's Peaker, Ibanez TS9DX, Lovepedal COT50, Lovekraft Chupacabra)
    Barber Barb-EQ
Amp (Magus Innovations Ultimate Tube Amp)
Effects Loop (DOD Flanger, Boss RV3 Reverb Delay)

I leave the Barb EQ on all of the time. All 3 EQ stacks are very good. I was especially looking for the Fendery tones since my amp leans more towards a vintage Marshall tone.

How are you using yours now that you've had it for a while? I think I would try it before your chorus pedal to see how that sounds, but I don't think there is a wrong way to do anything when it comes to effects and signal chain.

    Buckeye
