    Hey guys,

I have used EQ and Compression in the loop of my rig using my rack, for a while now. I am not using the rack any longer. Can anyone think of one pedal that has EQ and Compression?

I do see the TC Electronic Sustainer(Comp)/EQ pedal. Any others?

I see a Diamond Compressor that has an EQ knob but I believe that is more of a bass/treble tilt....so I guess you could cut out some highs and shift toward the lows....not sure if that would help bump up mids.

    Thanks!

That costs as much as an amp! LOL.

The Empress is more expensive so I might look at the Carl Martin Boost/Kick. But, I might just buy a graphic EQ with level control - cheaper solution.

I am skipping the TC Comp/EQ.

the boss ge7 with greg waltons mod is so great and so reasonable
the boost is worth it alone on that pedal after the mod

What is a Greg Walton mod and a Dr Scientist mod?

A friend just told me he uses a Monte Allums modded GE-7 and loves it! I have heard them live and their sound kills so I might get one.

Do you have one modded by Greg? I just emailed him - nice guy. How does it compare to the Monte Allums kit?

I shot him a few email and we chatted. He said for what I want in a solo boost, the MOnte Allums mod will be just as good.

I was thinking of that....but it seems an EQ/Level boost would be even better.

I thought about hitting the front of the amp with a Carl Martin Boost Kick....but if I have a decent qamount of gain going....it can make it too squashed. A friend of mine has a lot of experience with this on his rig and found an EQ/Volume boost to be the best approach. The EQ/Comp could work really well though because just reshaping the EQ for more mids can be enough to get it over the band. However, i am the only guitarist in the band so to keep the sound loud and full for leads.....I find the EQ/Level boost could do me better.
