.....version of Dancing in the Street? As a child of the 80's, I laughed my a** off at this video. It was a great set up by Peter as well which I won't repeat. When you think of Jagger as Mr. Rock n Roll, seeing this video just makes you cringe!!!

Brilliant in context of Bowie's turn in Extras - taking a joke way too far too long - poor Ricky! a joke? no he's serious. are you serious? now it's becoming a joke. seriously, enough. oh no. now the whole thing is comedic genius!

it was so uncomfortable watching that, it was funny. i know it's a cop out, but i kinda think it's funny when FG lets bits go way to long (like ENTIRE Conway Twitty tune or Stewie, "mama, mama, mommie, mommie, mum, mum, mummy, mummy, mom, mom, ma, ma......." cracks me up.

Plus, they overlooked Billy Squier's "Rock Me Tonight". Mick and David still had careers after their video.

What was it Peter said after the video ended? "we let this happen"

    Great stuff.

    :)

Oh yeah, that Conway Twitty song keeps growing on me everytime I watch it. :)

Extras was a brilliant show. Off-topic, but here is the funniest scene.

my girlfriend, being 11 years younger ...had not suffered viewing that particular video...she was horrified and amused.

I hope it is another 25 years or so until I am subjected to it.....and I am a huge fan of both artists

    Thanks Family Guy....

As watched that, I thought to myself "who in their right minds thought that this is acceptable?" ("Oh yeah Mick, let's DO THAT! Great idea for a video!")

    Funneh nonetheless.

Yes I watched it! All I could think of is that Mick & David must've been lovers at the time! That is the only way something THAT gay could transpire. "Not that there's anything wrong with that."

Wasn't the point that they filmed that song in 1 day, the day of live aid, and showed it that day? i.e., something unique for a special event?

They could redub the video with a remake of Under My Thumb, only change the lyrics to Stuffin' My Bum.

I love it when Peter gets into fights with that chicken, and it goes on for like 5 full minutes. It's so stupid that it's funny.

Here's the video...they used to play it all the time on MTV.

I too love the long drawn out scenes on Family Guy. The Conway Twitty video was one of the biggest WTF moments of TV for me, ever. I like it when he hurts his knee (and I do the same thing now when I hurt myself - it helps with pain because I end up laughing).
