    I wasn't @ NAMM...

Yea, the Mira is very interesting too.

I was wondering about the Santana since I read or heard the word "affordable" in the same sentence.
But from the looks of it I don't think that's going to be exactly true, looks more like a $3K PRS to me.

    Looks pretty sweet to me.

Any idea what the "MD" stands for? Do you have to be a doctor to be able to afford it or something?

I'm interested in hearing the new circuitry that turns the humbuckers into single coils (not a coil tap).

Actually, they are about 1/2 the price of the old Santana II...

$4200 list with the only options being a 10-top (flame) and Gold. Birds are standard...

My guess is that MD = Maryland.

    But it's only a guess.

I just called the PRS corp office. It stands for Mucho Dinero.

A $4200.00 list would come out to about $2940 street, and with an Egnater Tourmaster at $1300, looks like it's time to start saving, again.

    From the PRS site..........

"Santana MD, and its "multi-dimensional" Voice Control feature"

    hence the MD

The MD sounds awesome in this video:

Does anyone know if a similar active preamp is sold out there? Would love to have more control over the single-coil sounds in my humbucking guitars.
