I have a Tumnus I love. I use it as an overdrive with gain and tone at 1:00.

But I want more gain that I can kick on to push it into lead tone territory. Would stacking 2 Klones be good for this?

My shortlist of other options: EP Booster, BB Preamp. Thanks.

I have a Bad Cat Siamese Drive, which is 2 slightly modified k-type circuits. It sounds amazing stacked. I highly recommend stacking klones.

I tried it and wasn't very impressed with the result. But to be fair, I don't usually like the sound of two dirt pedals stacked.

Only exception is an EP booster behind any dirt.

Well that isn't very punk, is it?
Stack with a Timmy if you want to maintain the tone of the Klone.

Stacking two Klones will doubly push all of the boosted frequencies, and your tone will go from perfect to unbalanced.

Yep, two Klones stacked just seems to overemphasize the desired Klone EQ shift too drastically (and yes I know that all Klones behave somewhat differently in that regard).

A Klone stacked with something different and/or flatter EQ-wise seems to usually sound better.

I use a Timmy for stacking with my Silver Pony. It sounds great.

If you stack KLONES with the drive up, then you will get a large mid emphasis, yes. However, if one is set low with the gain (flat EQ response) and the other set to a drive amount, you won't get the exaggerated midrange.

This. I have a tonebakery creme double, which is two klones in a box. Stacking them is not great.
