I like the idea a lot. Some hands on reviews would be great at this point.

What makes everyone think and expensive and good are close to the same... yes, expensive stuff should be expected to be better, but cheaper stuff can still be amazing.

I ordered the 15 watt mini lite a few days ago, I'll post a review when it gets delivered.

I saw this one on the Weber website earlier today also,

It sounds like a great alternative to a Hotplate, i`m going to need something to tame the volume on my Ceriatone superbass Plexi when it arrives.

It`s $60 cheaper than the regular weber 100w mass attuenator too, just doesnt have the tone stack. Sounds very tempting!!!

I just got one. I guess it does what it's supposed to do. I had a hotplate for a while too. I can't say for sure in regards to tone coloring and such. I didn't get to do a side by side. Seemed alittle more versitile than the THD because of the tone controls. This is different than the other webers. The tone knobs affect the signal to the speakers, not just the line out. But there is no individal control for the line out either. I'm finding i'm just not an auttenuator type. For me, part of the majic that happens with my amp is from being loud.... moving air and the speakers breaking up. I've come to the conclusion that i'm better off spending that money on a good OD or Fuzz to get tone quietly. Also, I have a jcm 800 4104 combo. I run a 4x12 cab with it. For practicing, it is loud indeed, but with the band it's just right cranked up enough to get the tubes goin and volume is just right. If I get in a situation where thats too loud i'll use the combo only and turn it away from the crowd or bandmates. I'm gonna sell the Mass lite. It will be on ebay soon cheap and i'll give a heads up here.

So what happens if you leave for example the bass/low mid control up and put the treble/low mids down?

You mean mid/highs down I think? Ya, you are only attenuating the mid/highs then. The low/mids stay up.

It took forever to get it delivered so I switched the order to a minimass which I got last week and it will probably be in the emporium next week.
I am going out of my mind trying to get managable tube tone in the house.
