hey guys recently all my gear needed some fine tuning so i took it to the shop, leaving only a dirt box, a tele and a old peavy bass amp (1X15). I LOVE the tone coming from that big open 15" duders. I was just curious if anyone is running a 15 underneath their 412 to add a bass roundness? does it work? is there any harm running say a orange 1X15 with a 4X12 out of one head?

yeah, i run a 2x15 and a 4x12, sometimes with another 1x15. i love the two together. fills a lot gaps tonally. i generally like to run 15's with big bottom end and smooth top, maybe a little scooped or even midrange, and 12's with more aggressive mids. balance out the tone.

I used to gig with a Boogie MKIIC+ 60/100 watt. It was plenty loud but to thicken up the sound I built a Thiele single 15" cab and loaded it with an EVM. That really thickened up the sound. It was louder than a full stack and had all the bass I could use.

    I am using a JDesign 1 X 15' and an Emperor 2 X 12"
the sound is so great-running it with an Orange AD 30 single channel-
i used to back in the day run 2 2 X15"s, but this is much better-
you really realize what you're missing without the 15"
i have a Weber Michigan 15" which seems really nice
