Anyone use a Baggs M1 Active with a 12-string?

    Anyone have any experience with the M1A and a 12-string? How's the string definition and balance?

    with any soundhole pickup, i'd expect the plain octave strings to all be louder than the wound strings.

    I'm going to try it in my Guild 12. I thought the same, that the strings would sound unbalanced, but others have used 'em and they sounded pretty decent. I already have the pickup (loaned out to a friend) so it won't cost me anything to try it. I'll report back when I do.

    Tom Petty does...
    Or I think he uses the passive version combined with an active iBeam.
