What's the deal with this pedal? Simulates tape delay it seems with a multi-head option. Anyone used one or using one?

I do have it...it is just the same as the Ibanez AD9 exccept for the Maxon Pro version has a dual layer switch...I really like this pedal for my splapback delays...

Well damn, that's a hell of a lot of money for a slapback delay.

It's pretty cool because you get the slapback and the the regular delay at the same time, it's really like having two delays in one box if you like having the slapback.

    I'm a huge fan of the AD9Pro.
    It's my "always on" delay.
Best musical, grainy repeats out there.
Try to find one used- you won't regret it.

Does it sound anything like an AD-80?

I tried the TC Nova delay and several other digital options and came back humled to just Maxon analog delays. The best one, and head and shoulders above the rest is the AD-900. The AD-80 is also very nice but the AD-9 Pro offers higher headroom, less noise and an even very realistic dual tape head simulation. Get one and you are done. You will probably never look back again.
