A friend has informed me of these folks. I may be giving them a call for help on a claim.
    Any advice?

I'm finally at the age where I don't care if anyone sees me adjust myself in public.

It's liberating; you should try it.

I have dealt with them. There are good ones and bad ones (d'oh). What kind of claim do you have that you are considering using one? My experience is that you can often get better bang for the buck by hiring specific professionals to assist you, as opposed to paying a public adjuster's straight percentage, which is the only way that I have seen them work.

The only adjuster I go to is sorting out my neck and back issues.

    Sorry. :dunno

I have been on the other side doing water and fire damage mitigation work.

Public adjusters can be useful if your insurance company is treating you unfairly or not fixing an obvious issue.

They also can Jack up the "damage" to get more money.

A lot of public adjusters I dealt with were total assholes. I would only use them as a last resort if your insurance company is being unreasonable.

They cost you extra money to get the job done and don't be surprised if your insurance company drops you after the claim is completed.

    As always ymmv.
