Anyone using a RIO GRANDE set w/RWRP in their Tele?

I just bought a black '52 reissue, and I want a little more oomph from my pickups.

I was looking around, and I saw that Rio Grande's Muy Grande Tele set has the neck RWRP. so, supposedly the center position on the three-position switch would be humbucking.

I've read that unless pickups are the same size/output, that RWRP won't actually be hum canceling.

so, does anyone have experience with this specific set? if not, anything similar?

I have a set of Muy Grandes in my ASAT. They are hum free in the in-between. They are great pickups that approach P90 tones/volume.

They are also very quiet on their own.

I just replaced the stock pickups in my 52ri with Rio's. I have the Big Bottom set (Muy Grande bridge/Tallboy neck) and they really woke the guitar up. A 4-way switch works great with that set. They are relatively quiet.

    four way switch, eh?

    so it goes:

bridge / bridge + neck series / bridge + neck parallel / neck

    or no?

You can wire it anyway you want. Mine is different than this example in the LINK in that position 3 is series and position 4 is neck

    Love the Rio's.
Got a tallboy set in my tele, and have never looked back.

Mine is bridge / brige+neck parallel / neck / bridge+neck series... so that all the way forward and all the way back are the 'soloing' positions (easy to hit)...
