Anyone using unleash as a loadbox only ?

Is anyone using the unleash as a load only and using the line out to record ? Are you using a dummy load on the class D amp or leaving the speaker unplugged ?

Not sure I'm doing what you are asking. I run an Ethos overdrive into the receive of the unleash, the speaker goes out to a cabinet. Essentially the Ethos is a preamp and the Unleash is the power section.

Even if you do that, you'll want to use a cab sim plug in on your DAW...

Per the Unleash instructions you must have the unit loaded with a speaker at all times or you'll kill its class D amp.

Ya. I am just trying to squeeze another use out of the unleash. Because the power amp is separate from the attenuation and its load has no effect on the line out tone, in theory a fairly high watt 16 ohm resistor could suffice to protect the power amp...
