Does anyone leave theirs plugged in all the time? I've ordered a pair of Adam A7s, and will be connecting them to my mac via the Duet. Are there any complications to leaving the duet's firewire cable plugged in all the time? Overheating? Starting up garageband? Starting up Logic Express? Thanks. :)

I leave mine on all of the time. Only had it a week + or so, but I've been problem free thus far. Nothing in their documentation recommends (or even mentions) unplugging it when not in use so I don't see why it would be an issue.

    Good luck.

The only program Apogee Duet opens automatically is Maestro. I leave it on all of the time. Electronics do better when the humidity is constantly burned off if you live in a humid environment. I live in Vegas...
