Dry to the bone with no time based effects or compression.

Sennheiser e609 closed mic'd off-center from a Weber Alinco in a Fender DRRI. James Tyler SE HD. I have to play with the mic placement a little more, but I'm really liking the Apogee Mini-Me as my ultimate clip making tool. Super clean and the Apogee A/D is a vast improvement over the Mbox A/D convertors. Oh yeah, ProTools LE.

    Hey Dereck,

We met when you were up hanging out with the Folkrods.
Sounds killer, man. I reckon you're liking that Tyler, eh?
Is that crunch clip just the guitar and amp? Dang that sounds good.

    Cheers,

    Chris

Chris!!! How are you doing? I wish we had a place to really get some decent volume, but it was still a blast playing!

The crunch clip is Tyler > Abunai > amp. I tried to keep the signal chain as simple as possible to demonstrate the great mic pre and A/D convertors the Apogee Mini-Me has. Clean and crunch shows how well the Mini-Me can capture both tones.

    Take care!

Doh! I should have seen the 'OD' in the title of the clip... I think the 'secret humbucker' threw me off... I didn't expect to hear that kind of grind coming from that amp.

Things are good. Currently enjoying time off with the family and a mile long list of honey-do's. Got to see Mark play with Virgil Cane about a month ago, and they rocked like no other. I think I'll be at NAMM on Friday and Saturday... definitely Saturday; it'd be cool to hang if you're not too crazy busy.
