Love the ARU! I made a cassette tape from 3 of their albums to listen to on the way to my gigs for some Jimmy Herring inspiration!

There was another recent thread about this, but the more ARU discussion the better!
My favorite line from the post on their site about the tour:

    Reunited with the Col.? Awesome!

Saw them in the early days, Dave Mathews Band opened for them in a small club in Boston. Hard to believe a couple years later DMB was the biggest band around haha. Will try to catch this, would love to see the original lineup again...

Have tickets for both the Baltimore and DC shows. Btw, the Baltimore show is a free show sponsored by PRS. It's going to be great.

Just started getting into the ARU, watching vids on YouTube. I found it amazing that every video I watched was captivating, loved every second. Never had that happen with a band before. Going to try to see them if they come to the area.

Woo Hoo! Finally a '90s flashback worth the wait.

The best band* of the famous 90’s H.O.R.D.E. Festival tours will be unleashed.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/H.O.R.D.E.

H.O.R.D.E.was organized by Blues Traveler and featured Phish, Widespread Panic, Spin Doctors, Dave Matthews, Primus and many others.

When I asked Oteil if they'd let me tape them, he responded, "We encourage it". My kind of band.

    * It was none other than Trey Anastasio who claimed the Col. and the ARU as the best of the bunch.

Man, the PRS free show looks like it's gonna be such a treat -both Dennis Chambers and Rhonda Smith sitting in with Paul's band and also Johnny Mac. And then, ARU....I can't wait!

I work for the label and have seen the last three shows and will be in Raleigh tomorrow (Wednesday 8/12) and VA/DC later this week. They seem to be getting better each night. A tour with these guys may not happen again, so head out to see'em if you're at all interested.

There's a very special guest who will appear in Raleigh... working on a guest for DC too... both big names.

For this, Jimmy's running his Super Reverb again with separate 'reverb-only' cab & power amp!

They played up the road from me. I didn't know who was in the band so I didn't go. I'm kicking myself now.
