Been reading comments on the web speculating the Arc Angels are recording a new album and planning to tour. Just wondering if anyone else has heard the same and can confirm? Would love a new album after 15+ years!

I love them, but I feel like I've been hearing this for awhile. Did their live DVD ever come out?

There was a Double Trouble cd that came out a few years ago that had some new Arc Angels on it.

Here's what the About section says:

A decade later after headlining the Austin City Limits Festival in
Austin *three of the original members, Doyle Bramhall, Charlie Sexton
and Chris Layton *have decided to reunite, release a new Live CD/DVD,
tour extensively and ultimately record a new full length studio album in
2009.
Tommy Shannon health is not the best. he tour, album, etc. is probably a little much for him

Bummer on Tommy, but that will be great to see them in action after listening to that first album religiously for the past 15 years!!!

Has anyone ever seen them live? I met a guy online a few yrs ago that played bass in the group "The Poor Boys" that had been on tour with them in the early 90's. They were also a very good group imo. Can't wait to hear some new Arc Angels!

I can't get enough of Doyle Bramhall II's stuff. I hope they have a new album in the works!

I love the Arc Angels. I can't play the opening cut on their record - "Living In A Dream" loud enough on the stereo. :dude

Have seen them live on several different occasions including 1992 and also the first video shoot for the DVD back in 2005. They have shot several performances since, not sure why the hold up on the DVD release but certainly good news. They are very good live, very true to the record.

Wonder if Tommy is simply burned out and doesn't want to tour.
I'm sure the music will be solid but not quite the same without him.

I've got tickets to the Aussie Clapton show - wonder if Doyle/Arc Angels etc are playing? Would love it if they were!
