Archtop help

I have just received a Fender D'aquisto elite from a fellow TGP member and Im just wondering if the bridge is fixed to the body or not. With strings, the bridge seems like it's stuck to the body. Usually archtop bridges are removable right?

Have you tried loosening the strings to move the bridge?

Keep in mind, if you move the bridge your intonation will go out of whack...

From the pics I've seen, it's a floating bridge. It shouldn't be movable (within reason) with the strings up to tension, but when detuned you should be able to remove it.

problem is solved, thanks!
it's a bit dumb, but i loosened the strings a lot alot more and the bridge started to move, thanks!!!!

Always better to be careful and ask questions than to dive in and screw up your axe. You did the right thing.
