I recently bought my first EL34 based amp, Fuchs Lucky 7. It seam very stiff sounding. Is that the EL34 that sounds stiff? Will the 6V6 tubes sound smoother?

    Thanks

While "smooth" is subjective, I find the 6v6s to be 'warmer' than EL-34s but EL34s are my favorite sounding tubes.

Of course that's the case. However, he asked if 6V6 tubes would sound smoother in the SAME amp, implying identical contexts.
