Are the cheap Boss patch cables bad?

You know, those that come in the BCB-030 (and I assume the BCB-060) cases. They certainly look cheap. Are they terrible?

I used them for years and never had one fail.

Boss doesn't make much of anything that could truly be considered bad.

I have 3 of them leftover from when I grabbed a BCB-60 second hand maybe 15 years ago? Never had an issue with them, seem super solid. I keep them in my gig bag as spares just in case.

I still use mine...they're 20 years old and are my favorite. Not one fail

Yeah they look and feel cheap but I also never had one fail on me. I've had some nice shiny ones bite it though.

Great feedback, thanks. I've decided to get some EBS cables for my BCB-6 anyway (been using them on other boards for a while) because I want as little noise as I can get. We'll see.
